Dual Credit Students:
Fulton Kiwanis Dual Credit Grant - The Fulton Kiwanis is working with the River Bend School District to offset the cost of dual credit classes. This grant can be used for any Dual Credit Course (Sauk Valley CC, Clinton CC, Morrison Institute of Technology, and any Online College Course). SVCC In Session Scholarships become available on the 1st of each month. These additional funds are expected to assist all SVCC students including Academy and Dual Enrolled students. Reminder, the Sauk Valley College Foundation offers scholarships for students of all grade points and financial levels. 2025 Morrison Tech Counselor’s Choice Scholarship - This $1000 scholarship will be awarded to a student graduating from Fulton High School who is planning on attending Morrison Tech next school year. This scholarship can be divided between more than one student. Students who plan on attending Morrison Tech need to let the HS counselor know by May 1, 2024 to be eligible for this scholarship.

2023 Clinton Area Rod Club Automotive Scholarship - The Clinton Area Rod Club is awarding $500 scholarships to one student from each of the following area schools: Clinton, Camanche, and Fulton. Students that plan to continue their education in careers that include technician training, body shop, collision repair, vehicle electrical wiring, diesel mechanics or related fields are encouraged to apply. Applications should be submitted by mail to Clinton Area Rob Club, Box 2233 Clinton, IA, 52732 by July 1st.
2024 WACC Scholarships are offered to any senior student who has attended Whiteside Area Career Center during the 2023-24 school year. All applications and materials are due no later than March 21.
2024 River Bend Education Association - This scholarship is open to any senior who will graduate at the end of the current school year, any former Fulton High School graduate, RBEA member, and/or RBEA members’ children that plans to pursue a degree with an educational emphasis. Applications must be returned to the Fulton High School Student Services office by March 22.
2024 Becky McLuckie Memorial - Applicants must be a member of varsity Fulton High School Boys’ Track team. This award is to be used by the recipient to further his education in an institution of his choice; including community or junior colleges, four-year colleges or universities, or accredited technical training schools. Applications must be returned to the Fulton High School Student Services office by March 22.
2024 Flikkema Foundation Scholarship - Applicants must have graduated from Fulton High School within the last 10 years. Those pursuing a career/degree in mathematics or science will be given strong consideration. Applications must be returned to the Fulton High School Student Services office by March 22.
2024 River Bend Education Foundation Scholarship - Be a graduating senior of River Bend School District. Scholarship recipients usually will have maintained a 3.000 cumulative grade point average throughout high school, but this will not always be required if the candidate shows strength in the other criteria for selection. Scholarship recipients shall have had some participation in extra-curricular activities. Applications must be returned to the Fulton High School Student Services office by March 22.

2024 River Bend Education Foundation Vocational Scholarship - Available to graduating seniors of River Bend School District. Applicants must plan to attend any accredited trade school or junior college and entering a vocational field. Applications must be returned to the Fulton High School Student Services office no later than March 22.
2024 Zimmerman Memorial Scholarship - Applicants must be a Fulton High School Graduating senior. Awarded to students planning to major in education and have maintained a 3.3 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher high school GPA. Applications must be returned to the Fulton High School Student Services office by March 22.
2024 Kiwanis Club Scholarship - Available to Seniors who are Key Club members. Applications are Due March 22.
2024 Albany Lion's Club Scholarship - Residents of the Albany Fire District who will be graduating this year, in good standing, and plan to attend either college or a recognized vocational school are invited to apply for a one year $1000 scholarship. Selections will be based upon good school citizenship, need, and community services. Applications must be returned to the Albany Lion's Club by April 3.
2024 Terry Krause Memorial Scholarship- This local $500 annual scholarship is in memory of Terry Krause. The goal of this scholarship is to recognize & reward a graduate pursuing education in welding or a similar trade. Terry Krause passed away suddenly in May 2022. He was a 1989 Clinton High School graduate and went on to own a local welding business. He mentored many students from the surrounding area at his welding shop. His family would like to offer students help in furthering their education in the trade of welding as he would have wanted. Applications are due by April, 19.
2024 Billy Phillips Memorial Scholarship- This local scholarship is presented by Constellation Energy in memory of Fulton High School alum Billy Phillips. Billy was deeply involved in Steamer activities as a student athlete and later a parent of student athletes and an athletic supporter. He spent many years working with the Little Steamers wrestling club officiating tournaments, would sell raffle tickets at Steamer games and meets, and understood that there are many ways to be a leader both on and off the field. Billy began his career in 1985 at Excelon Quad Cities Nuclear Power Plant, now Constellation Quad Cities Clean Energy Plant. He was an advocate for worker's rights and served as Station Union Steward, Chief Union Steward, Senior Assistant Business Manager, and Vice-President of local 15 over the course of his career until his passing in March of 2022. Billy was a champion of union workers, often advocating for his colleagues and the future of nuclear energy. Fulton High School seniors with a 2.5 GPA and plans to attend an accredited trade school or junior college are eligible for this $1,000 scholarship, renewable for up to 2 years. Preference will be given to applicants entering industrial trade fields. Applications are due by April, 22.
2024 Ralph F. Schepler Scholarship - Applicants must demonstrate a need for financial assistance. Applications must be returned to River Bend CUSD #2 district office 1110 3rd Street, Fulton IL 61252 by April 26.

AREA/REGIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sauk Valley Community College Foundation Students attending SVCC, including academy and dual enrollment, are encouraged to apply for scholarships. Sauk Valley College Foundation offers scholarships for students of all grade point and financial levels. Visit the website to sign into SVCC account and explore what opportunities are available. Various due dates for specific scholarships.
ISAC Gift Assistance Programs The Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) provides financial aid for college education through the many gift assistance programs that it administers. Gift assistance is awarded in the form of scholarships, grants, tuition waivers and loan repayment programs. As an approved participant in any of the gift assistance programs administered by ISAC, post-secondary institutions may receive funds on behalf of eligible students. 2025 IEC Memorial Scholarships - Illinois electric cooperatives will award a total of 11 scholarships of $2,000 each will be awarded in 2019 through the Thomas H. Moore Illinois Electric Cooperatives (IEC) Memorial Scholarship Program. Nine scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors who are the sons or daughters of an Illinois electric cooperative member receiving service from the cooperative. A seventh scholarship, the Earl W. Struck Memorial Scholarship, will be awarded to a student who is the son or daughter of an Illinois electric cooperative employee or director. Four additional scholarships are reserved for students enrolling full-time at a two-year Illinois community college who are the sons or daughters of Illinois electric cooperative members, employees or directors. Deadline for the IEC Memorial Scholarships is December 31.
2025 Verna Ross Orndorff Essay Contest -Are you the next winner of the Illinois State Historical Society's Essay Scholarship? The ISHS is offering this prestigious award of $1,000 for the best 1,500-word essay written by an Illinois high school student on the subject of Abraham Lincoln or the Civil War era in Illinois. Applications are due by January 15.
2025 Quad City Engineering and Science Council- program provides multiple one-time grants/scholarships between $1000 and $2500 each for high school seniors pursuing a STEM degree at a 4 year university. These are awarded on an objective basis without regard to race, sex, or religion. Criteria include academics, civic/community service, extracurricular involvement, career goals, and an essay on why you want a STEM degree Applications are due by January 28.
2025 The Dean Ritter Trust For the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Scholarship is available to students who have a significant hearing loss in one or both ears. Students must be a resident in the state of Illinois and a graduating senior. Applications are due on or before January, 31, 2024.
2025 Carroll County Pheasants Forever College Scholarship Application- The Carroll County Illinois Chapter of Pheasants Forever is accepting applications for four $600 college scholarships. The scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior of a Carroll County high school who will be enrolled in college in the 2025-2026 academic year. Children of long-standing members and Long Spur shooters residing outside of the county are also eligible to apply. The scholarship can be for additional years if the student meets the academic standards set by the chapter. While this is typically for Carroll County students, they have recently extended it to include students from Fulton High School. Applications are due by February 1.
2024 Quad Cities Community Foundation Scholarships (multiple scholarships) - The Quad Cities Community Foundation administers multiple scholarship funds, all started by donors who want to ensure students are able to continue their education at community colleges and four-year institutions. Over 35 scholarship applications are available through our website. When we include scholarships that are able to be renewed each year students are in school, these applications result in nearly $600,000 in scholarships being distributed by the Community Foundation every year to help students meet their higher education goals. Applications are due by February 15, 2025.
2025 Illinois Special Education Teacher Tuition Waiver is available to students who are planning on pursuing a career in special education. The application is anticipated to open in December. Applications must be submitted by March 1.
2025 Minority Teachers of Illinois Scholarship is available to minority students who are planning on pursuing a career in teaching. The application is anticpated to open in December. Applications must be submitted by March 1.
2025 Sauk Scholars Award - Student who rank in the top 10% of their class or have earned a SAT of 1340 or better are eligible for this scholarship. Year 1 is free tuition for up to 24 credits. Year 2 is an additional 24 credits, free tuition if a 3.0 GPA was maintained in the first year. – Announced May 1, 2025 or contact the school counselor to learn if you are eligible.
2025 Cleveland-Dodge Memorial scholarship is available to learning disabled high school seniors who are enrolling in a two or four year college or university or trade school. Applications are due by May 1.

2023 Early Childhood Access Consortium for Equity Scholarship Program Awards are available for undergraduate study at public and non-profit private 2- and 4-year Gateways-entitled and Early Childhood Access Consortium for Equity member institutions. For students attending community colleges and public universities, the scholarship will cover the applicant's total cost of attendance for an academic year (including summer) after other financial aid received. Students at participating non-profit private institutions may receive an amount no more than the cost of the most expensive program of study in the early childhood education field at an Illinois public college. Applications must be submitted by March 1.
2023 NW Illinois Economic Development offers a $1,000 scholarship to graduating high school seniors from Jo Daviess, Carroll or Whiteside Counties who are interested in becoming an entrepreneur and starting a business. Recipients shall be full-time students in good academic standing in the qualifying school year (2019 - 2020). Completed scholarship applications are due by March 17. The scholarship can be used for: Community College, Technical College, 4-year College or University, or Start-up costs for business planning.
2023 DCFS Scholarship - Eligibility Requirements for the Department scholarship applicants must: 1) Be at least 16 years of age and under 21 years of age on the scholarship application deadline date of March 31. 2) Have earned a high school diploma from an accredited institution, or a General Education Development (GED) certificate/diploma or met the state criteria for high school graduation before the start of the school year for which they are applying for the scholarship. 3) The Department must have court-ordered legal responsibility for the applicant, the applicant must have aged out of the Department’s care at age 18 or older, the Department must have had legal responsibility for the applicant prior to the adoption being finalized, or the applicant must be in the Subsidized Guardianship Program.
2023 PFLAG Chapter Scholarship Program PFLAG describes itself as the “first and largest” organization for the LGBTQ+ community. PFLAG Sauk Valley offers two $500 scholarships to graduating seniors from area high schools (Whiteside, Lee, and Ogle counties) who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender or who are strong allies of the LGBTQI community, as demonstrated by participation in ally organizations. Application materials can be found on the linked website under the "Illinois" heading. Applications are due by April 7, 2023.
2023 Farmhouse Fraternity is offering multiple $500-$5,000 scholarships to incoming male students at the University of Illinois. Any major is eligible to apply! In previous years our chapter has given out over $15,000 and this year we are hoping to exceed that amount. The scholarship is due April 15th.
2023 Carla Haubrich Memorial. This Scholarship is awarded to a current Senior attending High School in Whiteside County, pursuing a curriculum in Special Education, and is a one-year $1,000.00 scholarship. Applicants must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment as full-time undergraduate students, in an accredited four-year or two-year institution. Application must be postmarked or delivered by April 28.
2023 LaVern and Nola McEntire Lineworker's Scholarship - will help pay for costs to attend the lineworker's school conducted by the Association of Illinois Electric Cooperatives in conjunction with Lincoln Land Community College, Springfield. Sons and daughters of co-op members, relatives of co-op employees or directors and individuals who served or are serving in the armed forces or National Guard are all eligible for the lineworker's scholarship. Deadline to apply is April 30.
2023 Rorrie Joseph Kramer Scholarship This scholarship will be awarded to a qualified student(s) who are planning to attend college after high school graduation. The number and amount of scholarships given is dependent on club resources. Applications are due by May 27, 2023.
Illinois Manufacuters Association Scholarship- The Illinois Manufacturer’s Association (IMA) Education Foundation, in partnership with Education Systems Center at NIU (EdSystems), is offering a scholarship to Illinois students who graduate high school having earned the College and Career Pathway Endorsement in Manufacturing, Engineering, Technology, and Trades (METT) and is currently enrolled or in the process of enrolling in an Illinois community college or university for advanced manufacturing, welding, or engineering. This $500 scholarship can be put towards tuition, fees, textbooks, room, board, school supplies, job training equipment, and uniforms, or other barrier reduction costs that arise. The scholarship awards will be sent directly to students upon postsecondary enrollment or, if necessary, to the awardee’s postsecondary institution in the fall of that academic year. Applications are due by June 16, 2023.
2023 Freeport Memorial Alumni Nursing. This scholarship is awarded to students who are planning on attending Highland Community College and accepted in their Nursing program. Applications must be received by June 1.
2023 Moose International Heart of the Community - The following requirements must be met in order to be eligible for the Moose - The Heart of the Community Scholarship Program. The applicant must: Be a student of the high school graduating. Have a father, mother, step-parent, grandparent or legal guardian who is a current member of the Moose in good standing (Applicant is NOT required to reside in the same household). Have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale or equivalent. For more information, please select HOTC Information. Applications due June 30.
2024 Celebrating High School Innovators - Do you have great ideas and want to make them a reality? Are your projects making a positive difference in your community?Tell us about your idea and you might be chosen as one of the most innovative high school students in Illinois! Our top five winners will receive $1,000 in cash and scholarships to Illinois State University. Application Deadline October 31.
2024 Children of Veterans (COV) Tuition Waiver - The COV award is a four year tuition waiver at the University of Illinois awarded to natural or legally adopted children of service members. Please see application form for eligibility requirements and additional details. The priority date is January 5.
2024 Illinois Society of Professional Engineers - The Rock River Chapter of the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers (RRC-ISPE) is proud to announce that it is now accepting applications for the annual scholarship(s) given by the organization to the most qualified student(s) entering the field of engineering. This scholarship is for high school seniors who will be enrolling in an engineering program in the fall of 2023. Applications are due January 19.
2023 Quad City Regional Auto Show- The QC Community Foundations has money for students who going to college and work or have a parent or guardian who works at a new car dealership, Also, if you want to be trained as an automotive technician, you too, qualify for this scholarship. There are 2 categories for this scholarship 1)Trade School Students and 2) 4-Year College Bound. Applications due January 21, 2024.

2024 Warren A. Morrow Memorial Scholarship application from the Iowa Credit Union Foundation is now open. High School Scholarship– Designated for high school seniors planning to enter college in 2023. Post-High School Scholarship– Designated for individuals entering or attending an accredited undergraduate, graduate or vocational program in 2023. Find additional information about the scholarship here. The deadline for applications is February 2.
2024 Make An Impact Scholarships. Modern Woodmen of America has established a scholarship program to assist Modern Woodmen Life Insurance members who are current high school seniors planning to continue their education in college. With an emphasis on volunteer experience, they reward those who are making an impact in their local communities. Applications are due no later than February 5.
2024 Quad City Community Foundation Scholarships- The Quad Cities Community Foundation administers multiple scholarship funds, all started by donors who want to ensure students are able to continue their education at community colleges and four-year institutions. Over 40 scholarship applications are available through our website. When we include scholarships that are able to be renewed each year students are in school, these applications result in over $500,000 in scholarships being distributed by the Community Foundation every year to help students meet their higher education goals. Applications due February 15, 2024.
2024 VFW Continuing Education Scholarship - Open to any Auxiliary member (who has been a member for at least a year), or their spouse, son or daughter with a financial need. Entrant must be at least 18 years old. Applications are due by February 15.
Bi-County Foundation General Education Scholarships - This scholarship is open to High School seniors and college students who plan to pursue a career in Special Education or a related field ie; Psychology, Music Therapy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Recreation Therapy. The amounts and numbers of scholarships will vary from year to year as funds are available. Scholarship minimums will be $500.00. Students will be selected on the basis of academic accomplishments, creative distinctions, essay content and extracurricular activities. The committee will also select students who contribute to the inclusion of community and academic life of children with disabilities. The committee looks for qualities such as self-reliance, energy, imagination, originality and concern for others. Applications are due by February 15, 2024.
Bi-County Special Education Scholarship is available for students who have a disability and wish to seek further education via trade school, college or certificate program. Students may re-apply while in trade school or college. Applications are due February 15, 2024.
2024 Illinois School Counselor Association Post-Secondary Scholarship - Students who will be completing high school in 2024 are eligible for this non-renewable $1,000 scholarship. The scholarship can be used to support the following post-secondary options:
4 year college/university, 2 year college/university, Trade school, Apprenticeship/Vocational program. Deadline February 16, 2024.
1st Gateway Credit Union Scholarship 1st Gateway Credit Union takes pride in supporting the educational goals of their members and their families. They will award three $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors who are credit union members.. Applications are due February 16, 2024.
2024 Sharar Foundation Red and Gold Scholarship is awarded to a Fulton High School senior planning on attending Clinton Community College. The student must be graduating in upper half of their class, participating in one or more student activities in high school, with a recommendation by their counselor. Students interested in being nominated for this scholarship need to let their high school counselor know by February 26.
2024 Clinton CC Sharar Foundation Scholarships- These scholarships are awarded to students who are planning on attending Clinton Community College. All current and prospective full and part-time (six hours or more) students are considered. Some are based on financial need and or/ academic excellence, and others are based on the degree you are pursuing or the location in which you live. If a student wishes to register for fewer than six hours, and can demonstrate financial need, some scholarship assistance may be available. Scholarship amounts range from $200 to the Honor Scholarships. A cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher is required to be eligible for scholarships. Those individuals with lower GPA’s may wish to explain their special circumstances in the letter addressing the scholarship awarding committee. Applications for fall semester are due by March 1.
2024 Metallica Scholars. Students enrolled in the Clinton Community College Engineering Technology Program may qualify for full-tuition, fees, books, and equipment thanks to Metallica and their All Within My Hands Foundation. Applications are due March 1.
Sauk Valley Agricultural Scholarship - All applicants must be current residents or students in the Sauk Valley area attending a high school in the Whiteside Area Career Center service area. Scholarships will be awarded based on agricultural background, educational and career goals, extracurricular activities and civic involvement as well as the overall quality of the application. Financial need will be considered. All applications must be turned in by March 1, 2024.
Marquis "What Fuels You" Scholarship - The Marquis "What Fuels You" Scholarship is now open to all students who will be enrolled in a university, community college, or trade school in the Fall of 2024. Marquis Energy has a long history of driving innovation in biofuel production with a diverse portfolio of multi-generational, family-run companies focused on continual innovation in creating a sustainable world. Today Marquis is the largest dry-mill ethanol facility in the world, producing 400 million gallons annually. Our robust team in the United States, Europe, and Asia produce and market low carbon feed and fuel solutions delivered around the world. Marquis is creating a circular carbon economy with the production of sustainable fuels, blue and pink hydrogen, and blue and pink ammonia to decarbonize aviation, agriculture and marine transportation. Located on the Mt. Simon geological formation, the Marquis Industrial Complex has the capacity to store over 100 million tons of carbon dioxide using carbon capture technology. With its best-in-class logistics and global reach Marquis will lead in global decarbonization. This year Marquis is offering the Marquis "What Fuels You" Scholarship, awarding a total of $10,000 in scholarships with up to two $2,500 scholarships for all students that live within a 90-mile radius of Hennepin and will be enrolled in college, graduate school, or a technical institute for the Fall 2024 semester.

2024 EICC Connections Scholarships are available to students who have earned at least 6 college credits from Clinton Community College and are planning on attending one of the 3 Eastern Iowa Community Colleges after High School. Applications are due by March 1, 2024.
2024 Jo-Carroll Scholarships - In support of students from our service territory who choose to continue their education, JCE Co-op has the JCE Scholarship Program. The cooperative offers five different scholarships to help support our youth, area students and communities including scholarships for children of JCE Co-op members, technical school, lineworkers, and even adult learners. We encourage area students to apply for these scholarships. Deadline: March 1, 2024.
2024 Illinois Odd Fellow-Rebekah Scholarship Program Students from throughout the State of Illinois who wish to attend any post-secondary school or an accredited vocational/technical training school and who have maintained at least a “C” grade average may apply for this scholarship. Applications are due no later than March 1.
2024 Illinois AMVETS Service Foundation Scholarships offer 6 scholarships to graduating seniors who have or had parents or grand parents who served in the military. Scholarships available starting in November with a due date of March 1.
2023 Township Officials of Illinois Fund is awarding funds to graduating high school seniors to continue their education at Illinois Colleges and Universities. Please mail your completed application, postmarked no later than March 1.
2024 Golden Apple Scholarship - Do you dream of teaching and giving back? Golden Apple is the answer. Apply to become a Golden Apple Scholar and fulfill your passion for teaching as you become an educator and a force for change in the lives of students across Illinois. Priority applications are due by December 1, 2023. Regular applications are due by April 1, 2024.
2024 Illinois Chemical Education Foundation Scholarship - this High School senior Scholarship application is open to all future Chemists, Chemical Engineers, Environmental Engineers and/or HS Chemistry Teachers. This $2000 scholarship application is due no later than March 8, 2023.
2024 Lupita Turriff Hispanic Student Scholarship - The Chemical Industry Council of Illinois (CICI) is offering a $2000 scholarships to all future Chemists, Chemical Engineers, Environmental Engineers and/or HS Chemistry Teachers. The application is due no later than March 8, 2023.
2024 Ecolab High School Senior Scholarship - The Chemical Industry Council of Illinois (CICI) is offering a $2000 scholarships to all future Chemists, Chemical Engineers, Environmental Engineers and/or HS Chemistry Teachers. The application is due no later than March 8, 2023.
2024 Illinois Elks Children’s Care Program is offering college scholarships to high school seniors and graduate students. The first is for students who are pursuing a degree in Physical & Occupational Therapy Assistant Program and the second is for Physical & Occupational Therapy Majors. Submit completed applications to Dixon Elks Lodge #779,1279 Franklin Grove Rd., Dixon, IL 61021 no later than March 8, 2023.
2024 Kathryn G. Hansen Scholarship - Available to graduating seniors who plan to pursue a higher education in an office profession, secretarial or business-related field within the State of Illinois with preference given to attendance at the University of Illinois. Applications are due no later than March 11.
Whiteside County Republican Scholarship - One $1,000.00 scholarship will be awarded to a Whiteside County high school graduate while the other $1,000.00 scholarship will be awarded to a Whiteside County resident college/trade school student currently enrolled in a 2 or 4-year institution within the United States. The attached scholarship guideline and application gives the requirements for eligibility and instructions for applying. All applications must be postmarked by March 15, 2024.
Sauk Valley Manufacturing Scholarship - All applicants must be current residents or students in the Sauk Valley area. 2024 Human Service Career College Scholarship - for individuals seeking a career in the human service field Sinnissippi Centers recognizes that the field of human services is challenging.
