INTERNET ACCESS: Students will be able to access the student textbook online, if they have computer internet access. This prevents the problems of “I forgot my book at school”. There are also online resources available at this website, that will provide additional practice reviewing Chapter material, such as Practice Quizzes, Tests, Video labs, animation presentations, etc.
HOW TO ACCESS THE WEB SITE:
1. Access your Internet browser
2. Enter the URL (site address): http://www.glencoe.com/ose
3. Then follow the next few steps to access the information:
4. To access the TEXTBOOK, YOU MUST TYPE IN THE FOLLOWING ACCESS CODE:
a. Access Code: C752574650
b. You must type these EXACTLY as they are shown here. Click Enter and you should be able to view the Textbook.
6. Click on the CONTENTS arrow on the top right corner of the textbook.
7. Using the down arrow, go to page III, the Table of Contents.
8. Click on the Chapter you desire and CONGRATULATIONS! You now have your textbook.
TO ACCESS VIRTUAL LABS, PRACTICE TESTS AND OTHER STUDY TOOLS:
1. Type in: www.glencoe.com
choose state, student user, subject Science (Social Studies of the history book)
click ENTER
choose “integrated science” ; glencoe science level green 2008. (for history choose United States; then choose American Journey 2009)
scroll down the student center column. You will see standardized tests, section quizzes, the virtual labs, etc. Click on whatever you desire.
Scroll down and on left side of page, choose the Chapter you want the quizzes or tests for. This should provide you with all the interactive resources available for that chapter.
VIRTUAL LAB - HELPFUL HINT: You may have to reduce the size of the image on the page to view the entire virtual lab screen
We are hoping that with these additional resources students will be more motivated to study at home. Parents are encouraged to participate in the activities online to further motivate your students.
