Ms. Akridge

Desktop Publishing is a desktop publishing application from Microsoft 2007 used to create a variety of professional-looking documents for personal and business use. Students will use desktop publishing features to create and enhance calendars, logos, brochures, newsletters, invitations and flyers. Emphasis is placed on page layout and design rather than text composition and proofing.

In addition to Microsoft Office 2007, students will be introduced to Microsoft Expression Web (replaced Microsoft FrontPage). Students will be given the tools to create a professional, standards-based Web site.

Fulton High School has an articulated agreement with Sauk Valley Community College which allows a student to receive 1 college credits providing the student receives a grade of B or better for Desktop Publishing.
