Chemistry is the study of the structure, composition, and changes of matter. The course emphasizes metric measurement, the classification of matter, atomic theory and structure, chemical bonding, chemical reactions, stiochiometry, gases, solutions, acids and bases, and nuclear chemistry.  The course has a strong emphasis on the mathematics of chemistry and laboratory experiences. Chemistry is a very basic course that is necessary for most vocations that involve science in any way.
