Dear Parent(s):
My name is Ms. Pepper and I will be your son/daughter’s SWiM teacher this year. My vision for our classroom is one that focuses on respect and participation. Students will cover a multitude of topics in this class that will assist them with personal decisions they make in high school. The topics we will cover are as follows:
High School Preparation
Character
Leadership
Health and Wellness
Environmental Education
Social Issues
Students are required to have a notebook, folder, loose leaf paper, and a writing utensil. It is their responsibility to come to class prepared every day. Each student will be given a syllabus that discusses expectations I have for them in the classroom. The syllabus provides an in depth look at the topics that will be covered each quarter. I am excited about the 2011-12 school year, and look forward to it being a successful one. If there are any questions or concerns as the year progresses, I encourage you to send me an e-mail or call me at school. I have included my website address and encourage you and your child to visit it frequently for class updates and information.
