I have added a link to Spellingcity. On this website there are many activities to try with the weekly spelling words. When you go to this site, there is a button called “find a list”. It is toward the top of the screen. Search by my last name Geyer to find our lists. I’ve labeled them with the unit number. You can either, Teach Me, Test Me, or Play a Game. This is a great way to study spelling words independently.

The Northeast is the first region of the United States that we will travel to. We will learn of the past and present of this area. The northeast is a very important area since this is where many of the first immigrants came to land when they arrived in America. It is the oldest area that has many historic events that has shaped the United States.
Students will also learn about each state and be able to locate them on a map.

Are you ready to write? We will be exploring many types of writing in 4th grade. Students will be keeping a writing folder. In this folder, students will be keeping their works in progress, as well as their finished works. Students will learn to edit each others work. We will also be doing a lot of writing in cursive later in the year.
