 Reading: 

We are beginning Unit 2:  Short Stories. 

We will study the Elements of Short Stories:  Plot, Character, Conflict, Theme, and Setting.

The Finish of Patsy Barnes by Paul Laurence Dunbar

The Drummer Boy of Shilo by Ray Bradbury

Charles by Shirley Jackson

We will finish this section with a short novel by Betsy Byars called Pinballs.
