How do I get graded?
Grading is always a concern for students and parents when it comes to art. I have found that the best and most consistent way to grade in art is to use a rubric. I have a set of 5 criteria in which students are graded on. They get a score for each criterion and those are added up to reach a final score for a project. My criteria are as follows:
1. Developing skills at grade level
2. Understanding and application of art concepts and lesson objectives
3. Participation and effort
4. Use and care of materials
5. Behavior
