Classroom Overview

Homework Policy
The purpose of having a homework policy is to give the students a “cushion” if some unforeseen circumstance should arise and prevent them from completing the assignment on time. The Late Pass allows the assignment to be turned in the following school day for full credit. The pass does not mean the assignment can be skipped.
**Late Passes may NOT be used on problem solving activities; these assignments can not be graded after the answers and work have been presented.
*** If the assignment is not finished, work is not shown, or their name is not on the assignment,; the student will have to use their Late Pass. The homework policy will then go into effect.
1st offense: The student may use their late pass. If the completed assignment is turned in the following day, all points will be awarded.
2nd offense: The student will receive a note informing you, the parent, of the missed assignment. The completed assignment and signed note need to be returned the following school day. If the completed assignment is turned in the following day, all points will be awarded. If the assignment is not completed a zero will be issued.
3rd and more: The student will receive a detention/note and zero points will be given. The completed assignment and signed detention slip need to be returned the following school day.
