The Extra Curricular Support For Youth Scholarship (EASY) is available to FHS graduating seniors. Deadline is March 1, 2019.
Eligibility for the Extra Curricular Support For Youth Scholarship, is a follows:
- Be a graduating senior of River Bend School District.
- Plan to attend any accredited trade school, junior college, college or university on a full-time basis.
- Scholarship award recipient must enter school by the fall of the award year.
- Scholarship recipients will have maintained a 3.000 cumulative grade point average.
- Award recipient must have been involved in at least 1 extra-curricular activity during high school.

While many programs are directed primarily to recognizing academic achievement or leadership potential, the Horatio Alger Association seeks students who have exhibited determination, integrity, and perseverance in overcoming adversity, as well as have critical financial need. In this contest judges will be looking for an understanding of what a community bank is and its role in the local economy. Competition is open to Illinois high-school seniors who are sponsored by a CBAI member bank; it is not based on financial need. Check with the local sponsoring bank for deadlines. The ISHS is offering this prestigious award of $1,000 for the best 1,500-word essay written by an Illinois high school student on the subject of Abraham Lincoln or the Civil War era in Illinois. Essays must be submitted by January 15, 2019
The AXA Achievementsm Scholarship offers college scholarships of $2,500, $10,000 and $25,000 to high school seniors who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in their activities in school, the community or the workplace.
The 2019 program will be accepting applications from September 1, 2018 until 10,000 applications are submitted or December 14, 2018, whichever comes first. Your application MUST be one of the first 10,000 completed and submitted electronically by the deadline date. Apply early!
