The Fulton PTO is looking for you!!

Dear Parents and Teachers of FES…

As the next school year approaches, we are looking forward to making it a whole new year for PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) as well! The school theme “TEAM FES” really describes what we hope to achieve and is exactly what a PTO is designed to be – TEAM!

We enjoyed giving to each classroom last year by funding field trips, sponsoring Teacher Appreciation Week, Promotions at Meet and Greet, Open House Refreshments, meals for teachers during Parent/Teacher Conferences, and providing new books from the Book Fair. We were also able to approve Special Request purchases such as: new cameras, field day prizes and so much more. Without your continued interest and support these efforts will not be able to continue.

We are excited to make some fun new things happen this year to help the family of FES be able to spend some fun quality time together as a family and get to know new families within the school. We hope to host a big event like a school carnival or Ice Cream Social but we will need your help to make that happen!

As a PTO we feel we need better communication between Parents, Teachers, and Families. In order to channel that communication efficiently we would like each classroom to have a PTO Liaison. Each PTO Liaison will offer smooth communication for different PTO needs throughout the year, honor the classroom teacher in special ways, as well as encourage parent relationships within the classroom. We anticipate this position to require minimal time and effort yet play a vital role. Please be considering who that person(s) could be within your class.

PTO invites every member of the Fulton Elementary School community to participate in PTO. Membership dues are $1.00/year. Please return the attached form to school with your $1.00 in an envelope marked PTO membership.

Our first meeting will be September 8^th, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. and we really hope to see you there!!
